Open Business Meeting Wisconsin's Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton, Chair Wisconsin Arts Board (WAB) Sept 21 & 22, 2007 Lt. Governor Lawton and the WAB toured the area's creative outlets on Friday, September 21. There was a reception for all Arts Board members at Jersey's Sports Bar & Grill in Spooner at 7:00 PM, by invitation only, where the Lt. Governor said that NW Wisconsin's Creative Economy can serve as a model for other regions in the state.
The entire WAB met on Saturday, September 22, at 8:00 AM, at the Heartwood Conference Center & Resort, west of Minong on Hyw 77. This was an open meeting and the public was invited.
The WAB is a state-funded board that promotes the arts in Wisconsin by setting policy and determining funding for arts education and art initiatives in Wisconsin. The WAB meets several times a year, throughout the state. The WAB rarely meet this far north. Please attend to make your voice heard.
